Momma Don't wash my hair no mo!

So I guess most of us are at that age where mothers wonderful hands barely if ever touch our hair let alone our scalp. The duty now officially lies on US! Observing so many beautiful American ladies I've learned to take the ghost busters approach to all these HAIR MYTHS we have followed for wayyyyyy to long!!! ( to be revealed in an upcoming post).

Before hitting up the different type of hair we have weave...fro...perm.I thought it'd be nice to share some of my No.1 hair care tips....Trust me they work.

1) LESS HEAT= FEWER SPLIT ENDS= LESS BREAKAGE= LONGER HAIR!
(everyday straightening is not an option)

2) When using heat always use a heat protector

3) Cotton pillow cases and sheets add to breakage, use a silk or satin scarf to wrap up your hair while sleeping.

4) Do not over process or overlap your existing straighten hair (perm should ONLY be applied to re-growth)

5) Always wait at least six weeks till next relaxer

6) Wash your scalp rather than your hair unless your hair is very oily or dirty. Prevents stripping the hair of needed moisture..

7) Always use a leave-in-conditioner after you wash your hair. Leave-ins nourish the hair and help protect the hair from the sun and environment.

8) Let your hair air dry whenever possible

9) Protect your ends with a light moisturizer. Your ends are the oldest part of your hair. It needs extra moisture. This reduces breakage and split ends.

10) Use a wide tooth comb...combing with a small tooth comb will no doubt rip your hair out.

11) Natural Oils.... instead of hair grease..hair grease is more likely to clog the pores on your scalp
