Detangling Tool Showdown + Tool Giveaway [CLOSED]

I recently hosted a detangling tool giveaway on Youtube and whilst I hadn't completely taken a break from all things Social media I most certainly put blogging on hold for a few weeks [explanation here]. 
Well as the blog of course remains my first love, there was no way I was not going to host the same giveaway on here too, so if you missed the Youtube giveaway then there's always the chance you'll scoop something here!
I've used a ton of detangling tools over the past few years and decided it was high time I benchmarked them all against each other. Some have wrecked a whole lot of havoc on my hair whilst others live in a glittery royalty box a.k.a my staples box. Hopefully this will help you decide which tool may just work for you.
 So here it goes, the detangling tool showdown… [giveaway entry below]

DENMAN CLASSIC D3 STYLING BRUSH
Cost | £6.99

Pros | Flexible bristles, great quality, very durable & good handle grip 
Cons | I find the spacing between the bristles is simply not wide enough which can mean more tension and manipulation on your hair when detangling. You can indeed space out the bristles however I would rather invest in a tool that is ready made and does not require altering. I prefer using this in the shower.

FELICIA LEATHERWOOD DETANGLING BRUSH
Cost | £9.95

Pros | Flexible bristles as well as flexible bristle comb sections, great quality, durable & great handle grip
Cons | UK accessibility. I purchased this from Gidore.com but it has been out of stock for a while now.
Rating | 5/5

KENT AIRHEDZ PRO AHP6 PADDLE BRUSH
Cost | £10.20

Pros | Flexible bristle base, large surface area, excellent quality, great handle grip.
Cons | UK accessibility, may be sold in some larger Boots.com stores.
Rating | 4/5

TANGLE TEEZER
Cost | £10.99

Pros | Super flexible bristles, unique ergonomic grip
Cons | Bristles wear easily and can form bubbles which can catch onto your hair. I also think this may have been one of the main causes of a plague of single strand knots which caused me to have to trim not too long after my transitioner chop.

Giveaway : Hair-ology Conference Tickets [closed]

I love educational hair events, don't get me wrong the hair fairs and shows are amazing but I must admit I can be socially awkward/shy and small intimate events like this are right up my street!

I had the pleasure of being one of the guest speakers last year and I can honestly say it was a great event. Getting hair advice and tips from the likes of the Philip Kingsley team and salon owner Darren Scott & James was nothing short of a treat.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make the event this year due to work travel arrangements but I've been given two free tickets to giveaway here on the blog, so this time you can fill me in on it!

Back to Uni, Off to Uni £100 Hair Product Giveaway [Closed]

 The best years of my life? Undoubtedly! I honestly wouldn't have traded my uni experience for anything. The friendships you make, the independence, the 3am trips to KFC, the nollywood type tears because you're stressed out beyond sanity [watch a Nigerian movie you'll know what I mean!], the cook ups, the sleepovers... you name it, amazing is an understatement! Let's just say I'm a big fan of Higher Education, not because it's the only route to starting your career because we all know it most certainly is not, but because it's an experience I think everyone should try and have if they can!

But anyway, enough of the nostalgic moments and onto the main topic, ze GIVEAWAY!!!
Going to university was a blessing for me and opened a huge door in my life that has allowed me to be in the position to do this giveaway. I studied Economics and German for the most part of my university life and copped myself a fantastic job in Finance which allows me to use my studied language every darn day, something I really hoped I would be able to do.

Despite being on the earning end of the ladder trust me I know full well how tough uni days can be especially when the pound signs seem awfully low in your account, so this giveaway is here to help out at least on the haircare front, and will hopefully get you through the most part of the year #ProductStashWise!
I thought it would be nice to make the giveaway a bit different so here is what we'll do...
Once the winner has been chosen you can send me an email with a list of products and/or tools that you would like which can be found online only from reputable websites. If you don't have any particular items in mind then we can skype or email and discuss your regimen and some products that may be worth trying. Then I will order the products and have them sent to you.

Hello Fiona love the concept behind this giveaway. My name is Rahma and I can't get enough of university/Higher Education so much so, that this is my third time in University. I did my undergraduate in Biochemistry, Masters in Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology and now I am doing my PGCE in Science. Although the idea of science research initially interested me, teaching is something I always new I wanted to do. To help children at such an important point in their lives (adolescence- teenage years) and guide them in the right direction is amazing. I am fully aware that it is hard, but it will be fulfilling. My plans for the future is just to inspire and educate young children into becoming the best that they can possibly be in life.

G I V E A W A Y - 3 Years & more to come [closed]

It's a rare thing to find a hobby you love and can stick to for a long time, I've tried to pick up so many different hobbies over the past 2/3 years, from Arabic, to pattern cutting, to becoming a young black Martha Stewart, and out of all of those things this is the only thing that has been consistent for me! I'm so grateful for the support from each and everyone of you, for the new found friends, funny comments, Youtube love and for simply making this hobby worth its while!

Literally three years ago I started my hair journey as a heat loving, hair just past shoulder length relaxed chick, I then became a hair forum, long hair loving junkie and challenged myself to longer, healthier hair... just over a year later R E S U L T S baby! My hair was longer and a lot healthier. I then reached 'Bra Strap Length'... oh the length I had longed for... BUT my ends were on the thin side and as the matured individual I had become I decided they had to go, so snip snip snip and right back to just past shoulder length I went! It was at this point my journey then took a complete U-turn and I decided it was time to embark on a new journey... the journey to natural Hair!!! Well, here I am 3 years later no longer owning a pair of straighteners and I'm about to do the one thing I had never thought I would do... go Natural!

The journey goes on and I'm just thankful for your love & support every step of the way. I would raise a glass but who am I kidding a giveaway is much better!!!
