It's a rare thing to find a hobby you love and can stick to for a long time, I've tried to pick up so many different hobbies over the past 2/3 years, from Arabic, to pattern cutting, to becoming a young black Martha Stewart, and out of all of those things this is the only thing that has been consistent for me! I'm so grateful for the support from each and everyone of you, for the new found friends, funny comments, Youtube love and for simply making this hobby worth its while!
Literally three years ago I started my hair journey as a heat loving, hair just past shoulder length relaxed chick, I then became a hair forum, long hair loving junkie and challenged myself to longer, healthier hair... just over a year later R E S U L T S baby! My hair was longer and a lot healthier. I then reached 'Bra Strap Length'... oh the length I had longed for... BUT my ends were on the thin side and as the matured individual I had become I decided they had to go, so snip snip snip and right back to just past shoulder length I went! It was at this point my journey then took a complete U-turn and I decided it was time to embark on a new journey... the journey to natural Hair!!! Well, here I am 3 years later no longer owning a pair of straighteners and I'm about to do the one thing I had never thought I would do... go Natural!
The journey goes on and I'm just thankful for your love & support every step of the way. I would raise a glass but who am I kidding a giveaway is much better!!!

What i LOVE most about the blog is that its informative and inspiring as many uk base hair blogs or youtube shows are american therefore this blog is able to showcase also the UK natural community! One thing I would lie to see added is maybe more hairstyles and interviews with other naturals
ReplyDeleteI like the hair topics you post after i saw ur RPG wig, I want to give my hair a rest, I like to see you post outfit of the day and make up look.
ReplyDeleteThe clarity of the information provided and quality of pics posted. I'll like to see more hair tutorials since your transitioning.

ReplyDeleteI love that you blog not just about hair, but include some of your friends while they're on their journeys too. If anything, could you post some quick, daily length retention/protective styles?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the next entry!

Hi! I love all the suggestions and inspirations I can draw from your blog. I am pushing 15 months transitioning to natural and our hair textures are similar, so it's good to come to a blog where I can get hair advice for my hair type! I would love to see more vlogs/youtube video tutorials. I'm sure your a busy girl, but it would be great! xx
ReplyDeleteHi! I love all the different inspirations and hair advice pertaining to hair styles that I can draw from your blog! it is really great to have a blogger who has similar hair texture and who is also on a long term transition. I am pushing 15 months transitioning. I would love to see more vlogs/youtube video tutorials! I am sure you are a busy girl but It would be great! x
ReplyDeleteI love all the hair inspiration and advice I get from coming to your blog. I have similar hair texture as you and am also a long term transitioner (15 months now) so it comes really in handy to see the styles you achieve. I would love to see more youtube video tutorials/blog tutorials on different hairstyles. I'm sure you're busy but it would be great!x
ReplyDeleteI love how you've shared everything with us your followers all the way through your hair journey, from the failed hairstyles to the newly discovered protective styles in the form of scarfs and turbans and i LOVE that you are a fellow transitioner like my self!! i acknowledge that you are now a working girl and therefore dont have as much time to devote to blogging but more frequent posts would be awesome! i feel like you have not thoroughly shared with us your transitioning journey as much your hhj so more frequent posts would be lovely!! also, if you could do your hairstyle challenge now with your transitioning hair that would be great too! im always looking for ideas of what to do to my hair!

What I love most is the way you detail your regime- very easy to follow and loads of tips for my HHJ. I was able to complete my 1st successful self-relaxer with help from your blog(I had tried it once before unsuccessfully with a youtube tutorial).
ReplyDeleteI also love that your blog includes other interesting things such as your visit to Thailand- next holiday for me hopefully!!!
I like the way you make the hair journey more attainable and achievable, as you do not favour a product over any other, but let us know exactly what is defined as an 'honest' review. It's reliable and informative and with that trust I can confidently choose a product expecting a choice recommendation.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up.

Congrats Fiona!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate how detailed your descriptions are and how you are practical with issues facing ladies and their hair (e.g. doing the 30 day style challenge; thats an issue most women face- not knowing what style to do to their hair next). I also like that your blog is personal and your audience can gain an idea of who you are because in a way you reach out to them whether by actually responding to a comment or by pictures- either way we gain an understanding of who you are as a person and we can all relate to that. I would love to see more of your journeys- both hair and physical locations lol and would also like to see more interaction between LYT and other hair blogging sites/companies- not just via monthly hair features or interviews but through actually partnering and hosting events and forums with your audience. Thanks!
I just LOVE the beautiful photos! You entiries are very well written and very interesting but your photos say more than thousand words.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see more hairstyles and hair ideas for different occations.
Good luck with the next 3 years!
I enjoy that you come across very relatable on your blog, it makes me want to continue reading. I would personally like to see you write more about your profession; and if there are many naturals in your line of work.
ReplyDeleteI definitely enjoy your transitioning updates. You inspired me to go for a longer term chop, and even though I didn't transition nearly as long as you, I reached a year and you really helped me through that. I also love that you've made me consider wigs as a protective styling option, and maybe I'll take the plunge and get one! I would love to see you continuing with protective styling posts/ideas and just more of the same

ReplyDeleteI love how you document your transitioning journey and the fact that your a UK based blogger is a big plus as i can get to try the products you use and love.
I would love to see more of using wigs as a protective style

ReplyDeletelooool

Congratulations on your 3 years Fiona!! My little neighbour is transitioning and your blog is my go to blog for getting information on how to treat and handle her hair! Thank You sooooo much! I love how very informative your blog is and the DIY's that pop in every now and again, whether it's food or hair related. I enjoy your "5 Articles" posts as well. Btw...you got me wanting to make my own Gingernut Brûlée pre-poo..the name sounds so delicious! ^_^
ReplyDeletei truly adore your blog... i see my struggles in your journey. my indecisive in your journey. i see that good results are enroute on my journey when i read about yours. i would love to see more stylish head covering tutuorials (scarves, even hats, hair bands) as i love to see a natural/relaxed sister with a beautiful hair embellishment.

Well more the same good stuff you've been doing and I'd like to know what's going on under the wigs and scarf ;) basically more posts on your healthy hair journey :)
ReplyDeleteI love the positivity I get from your personality, posts and smile. It makes me feel warm inside, so regardless of whether the posts/vids are always relevant for me to read/watch, I will always enjoy doing so, even though I don't comment much. I don't mind what direction the blog goes in tbh, so just continue to be yourself love!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are non-judgemental about the transitioning processing. Meaning you make us feel like there is no one way to do it. I love how you show us different things we can do with our hair...rock a wig, a weave, a bun, some knots. It's all fabulous! I would love to just see MORE! More of whatever you wish to share with us. Hey Fiona,
ReplyDeleteAll I would like to say is that I love and appreciate what you have done for your Blog and the World of YouTube. ((And Congrats on your 3 year Anniversary)) A year ago I was the girl that scattered the whole place trying to find someone to help me start a healthy hair journey, cause I have no idea what to do, my hair was over-processed, brittle and just a hot mess. Then I Google search a few site my friends gave me and I upon your blog. It was just sooo amazing the info that I found. The first thing that I was looking at was “Starting a Hair Regimen Guide”. You provide the information that I need and am very thankful. Because of you my hair is Very much Healthy. ((And am happy to say Next month and going to be transitioning to Natural)) :D I love the pictures of your hair; you have beautiful thick textured hair. Nd I want my hair to be just like that one day. The only thing I would like to see is more hair video on YouTube. I like to read to info on your blog but would like to see you turn the info into videos. Showing how the you do it and how it works for you (especially on those product reviews). Once again congrats on your 3years anniversary
~Kashama ~
Happy Anniversary! I enjoy reading different tips for natural hair care and overall health of your hair. I also enjoy the vacay pics! However, I would like to see more homemade product recipes, protective style options and transitioning advice. Currently, I'm 10 months in and would like to have more things catered to us transitioning napturalista's.
