Diary of a mixtress : Shea butter green tea jasmine face pudding

Antioxidant Boost

- The way to younger looking skin -

Your skin is your largest organ and therefore it is extremely important to take good care of it. Antioxidants protect the skin by preventing the production of free radicals, which are damaging to skin cells. Antioxidants improve the appearance of your skin, as well as help reduce signs of aging. They also help to calm inflamed skin and are wonderfully natural.

Here's something i made earlier...

Ingredients

-Shea butter-
-Green Tea-

Method

- Place your desired amount of shea butter into a mixing bowl
- Open green tea bag's and sprinkle contents evenly over shea butter
- Continue to add green tea until you are able to fully cover the shea butter and not see much of its yellow appearance.
- Using a hand whisk or blender bring mix to a creamy, fluffy consistency.

- Apply mix to face and begin to rub in a circular motion with fair pressure.
- Once satisfied use a warm wet face towel and apply over face to create steam effect
- Do this 2-3 times and then use warm towel to now remove substance from face

Tip: After rubbing, leave pudding on face for 5 minutes whilst prepping warm water bowl bath for face towel.

Et voila! Supple soft skin before bed!!!

P.s no time to mix... make yourself a cup of green tea!

lyt protective style challenge month 5.5

One month to go guys. Have you gained 3 inches of growth? Have I?

I'm officially finishing the last phase of the challenge with buns as a protective style. Three weaves later and my hair was tired, the constant follow up of one weave to the next just wasn’t cutting it, so buns it is.
A part of me feels so weird relaxing so soon, especially after a 6 month stretch followed by an 8 month stretch, they make the soon to come 4 months seem like a joke.

Been having fun with my new tripod...can you tell!

London: Baby it's cold outside

Have you heard of those stories when people travel around the world in order to skip winter? I need to be one of those people right about now. Trust me I may add this venture to my bucket list! It is way too cold in the UK folks. In fact forget cold, it is freezing.. brrr.

Who would have thought I was able to take the picture below 3 weeks ago and now i'm scarfed up and gloved to go. Hmm...
Anyway i guess this is  just a rant and an undercover wish for someone to whisk me away to a carribean island, and relocate my uni, family and friends there for the next 3/4 months.
Holla if you have a hook up!

guess who's back baby!

I'm back! Pop champagne!!! Buy a car! Go wild!
Oh guys where do I start! 4 weeks and 2 days since my last post and I’m guess you’re thinking this heffa dares to come back... well my absence was not something I planned, I didn't elope or travel around the world ... truth is someone very dear to me passed away and a break from cyber life was more than needed. I can't say thank you enough to the readers who kept messaging to check up on me, that's the beauty in blogging... the friendhsips you can build! But that aside guys so so much has been going on hairwise!
- I've majorly updated my castor oil challenge mix and am currently testing its growth rate potential!

- I've made an oil and water based pre poo! It is like heaven in a jar, I cant wait to share it with you, mango, vanilla and more!

- I'm back in uni! Final year bring it orrrn. Workload is intense, but success is a challenge so I'm striving.
Hmm what else... I bought me a tripod, enrolled myself unto a photo society group course and am currently pulling my hair out trying to teach myself how to use photoshop CS5.
So that's about it really....
bring on the blog posts!
(P.s I have exclamation marks everywhere! Eurgh there goes another one... that has to be grammatically incorrect right?!)
