New Year, New Hair & Time For Success

An official Happy 2014 my loves!

I feel like this post should have gone up on the 1st of Jan but with new goals, getting back into the swing of things at work etc etc I figured I'd save it for a day when I could 100% chill out, zone in and talk to you!

My excitement for this year is beyond what words can describe, I've crowned it a year of self growth and challenging myself to make my aspirations come to life and that starts with right here on the blog. My posting days reduced by more than 50% when I stopped university and started the world of work. At first I was satisfied with the 'I've started a new job,  I have to focus on my career' excuse because well... it was valid!  HOWEVER it has now been well over a year and I no longer take that as an excuse, I've had more than enough time to get acquainted with my work-life balance so it's time to start acting like it!

So this means many many more posts in 2014, hair care tips, tutorials, new series, hair styling, videos, lifestyle and food... the works!

It's easy to say it all so here is a more in depth list of what 2014 has to offer from LYT.

A New Beginning : 2014 Goals Are Here!

I'm sitting here on my bed in awe of how quickly the year has passed by and evaluating it's successes and many taught lessons. 2013 definitely was a great year for me, and of course one of the main highlights of it which you were able to share with me was my transitioner chop

As always a new year is always a new opportunity to set new goals, and challenge yourself to an even greater year than the one before, so I thought I'd share some of my 2014 aspirations with you and hope you can give me a kick up the… if I seem to be wandering off track! I have a LOT I want to achieve in 2014 so my list of "goals" is quite specific and rigid, but I work best that way so fingers crossed it'll be fun achieving them

- GreenHouseEffect once a week -
- Smoothie/Juice A Day Challenge- [successfully did this about 98% of the time n 2013]
- 2l of water a day - [downloaded the waterlogged app to help me track this]
- Experiment with colour -
- Complete a rejection challenge [more info to come] -
- Do missionary work -
- Race For Life -

there are a few more "goals"on my list such as financial and career goals but I won't start writing a book here so we'll start with these!

Any special goals you have set for 2014 that you have never set before?

P.s I'll be back to blogging week beginning 12th Jan. I have some things to sort out before I get back to weekly posts and don't want to start and then stop mid way!

Till then xxx

April Goals

I think it's about time I start setting myself some hair goals. Looking back at my time spent in Germany last year I was an absolute and utter health freak. I exercised every other day, went to the fruit market and juiced my weekends away, whilst also drinking water like it was scarce.

Now! Well, let's just say H2O and me rarely see eye to eye these days!

The main difference between now and then was simply that I had weekly goals, so as of today I've altered my mindset and I'm back on the grind. Here are some realistic hair focused goals I have set for myself for the month of April.

Keep on track with supplements
I aim to take one Biotin and MSM supplement every other day. I'm not a believer that Biotin will make my hair grow like weeds overnight so in an effort to avoid skin breakouts I'll stick to just 4 times a week. As for MSM I use this for my old granny bones which need a good stengthening kick up the behind!
[P.s I'll be switching from my Holland & Barretts brand of Biotin to Solgar Biotin instead]

Straighteners in the attic
I won't be using any heat whatsoever as of April 16th right through to the end of May. I need to give my hair a break and in the meantime get transitioning hairstyle friendly.

Co-wash marathon
As of April 16th till the end of May I will be co-washing my hair 2-3 times a week.

Clear out the product stash
I have way too many unfinished products sleeping under my bed so will attempt to use up 2 of them. Who knows maybe i'll rediscover some old faves!

GreenHouseEffect
I'm yet to do a post on this but in the meantime I'll just say I will do this once or twice a week.
[I'll explain how this works in my GHE post]

Right I think that's its for now, don't want to get ahead of myself. My health goals list is even longer so I'll keep hair to a minimum!

Do you have any hair goals or need a hair goal buddy?! I'm your girl, let me know!
